Heavy Mother is a R&R band from Bloomington, Indiana: Eddie Flowers (lead vocals), Mark McWhirter (guitar), Zack "Chode" Worcel (bass), Clarke Joyner (drums). Eddie was in the original 1976/1977 Gizmos. Mark and Chode played with the Cowboys. Clarke was in the original lineup of Circuit Des Yeux . Eddie and Mark started writing songs together in 2018, but the current lineup of the band came together in the spring of 2021 and started playing shows that summer. This recording is a cassette release from Long Gone Sound System in Indianapolis. It was recorded August 14, 2021 by Clif Morlan at State Street Pub in Indianapolis. All songs written by Eddie and Mark, except track 6 adapted by Heavy Mother from "Smoke Rings" written by Sid Herring, track 7 written by Holland/Dozier/Holland, and track 8 written by Richard Berry.
